Socialite Paris Whitney Hilton was born on February 17, 1981. She is the heiress to the fortune produced by the Hilton chain of hotels, and the real estate empire of her father, Richard Hilton. Since her notorious skyrocket-to-fame via her famous sex video, which also featured ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon, Hilton has branched herself to other endeavors and amassed a fortune of her own. She starred in a reality TV show, modeled for many fashion designers, and released her own album, perfume and clothing line.

Hilton is currently starring on the hit reality TV show The Simple Life with Nicole Richie, where they travel around the U.S. doing ordinary jobs and serving for rural households.

Paris' latest claim to fame, aside from the well-publicized home sex video that exploded on the internet, is her FOX reality show with fellow heiress-to-be Nicole Ritchie, "The Simple Life," now in its third season.
